Happy 6 years and 3 months, sweet Aspen!
You're already wondering when you will be 7 because you want to go on a cool trip with Dee Dee! :) (As I type this I'm in Calgary, Canada and I talked to you last night). You have really grown up this month. I had my first "real" in depth conversation with you last night. You told me about cleaning your room all by yourself and how Bennett's room is so dirty! LOL You talked about our next Dee Dee date.... you're mouth was moving a mile a minute and it was the cutest thing!!!
We started out this month with you drawing me this beautiful sunflower. You are quite the artist.
We went camping at Vogel and you went early with us! I bought you some jerky from Striplings because it's one of your favorites!
On the way to Blairsville, you said you were hungry. We let you pick and you wanted pizza! TOO cute.

Aspen!!! You make this Dee Dee's heart full! I love your love for the outdoors. I love that your Mommy doesn't let you use electronics that much. You love to play anything outside and it usually involves water (the creek or pool or even water balloons). I love that you are adventurous and I can't wait to take you on a "special" trip. You asked if I could take you when you got a little older but you quickly changed it to "just going when you are 6!" hahahaha I CAN NOT wait! :)
You are like me in so many ways and I love it. I love that you are competitive. I love that you are logical and weigh things out. I love that you are brave and independent and ask lots of questions!
You also ask how much further almost ANYTIME you drive more than 10 minutes. ha!
Your appetite seems much better than it was. You love pizza and beef jerky and really so much.
This has been an incredible month of fun and adventure. You've done some really cool things this summer. You're already counting down the days until you go to the beach (you are going in September with your Mommy and Dada). I can't wait for our July "Dee Dee and Aspen" date and for you to spend the night. School starts in ONE month and you will be in FIRST grade. Oh my heart.
I AM SOOOO grateful I get to watch you grow. Your Dee Dee prays for you every day. I pray for your health and happiness and for you to come to know the Lord. I pray that I can have quality time and have an impact on your life. My heart is so thankful for each memory and moment.
PRAYER NEEDS....
Aspen goes for his CT scan on July 16th. If there are ANY changes to your results, they will do a consult for a G-tube. We sure don't want Aspen to have to have one, but if that's best for his little lungs... then that's what we want. I am praying for wisdom for the doctor's and for Lindsey and Chris.
* Pray for weight gain! Aspen had the flu recently (his first time ever, THANK YOU, LORD) and didn't eat for a few days. Praying that he maintained.
* Pray for wisdom for the G-tube placement or not?
* Pray for Aspen's last month before school starts and for his teacher for next year to be who HE needs
Dee Dee goes for her annual body scan to check for cancer on July 8th. As always... I appreciate prayers for that too. Prayers for peace that only HE can give! I've learned so much about living for the day and NO ONE is promised tomorrow. Life is short... live it well.
Aspen... Dee Dee loves you so much! I can't wait to see you and EVERYONE tomorrow. We will be home tonight but you'll be asleep (you're not quite understanding that concept). LOL!
