Happy 6 years and 2 months, sweet Aspen! You are getting SO tall and SO grown and this Dee Dee can't believe you are going to 1st grade! You are adventurous and a risk taker. It's hard to keep you from climbing on EVERYTHING you see! You love all things outdoors but don't like to be too cold or too hot. ha! You love all things water and bugs or fish. You're favorite thing to do is to play in the creek. You wake up before the sun comes up and your Mommy is sweet enough to occasionally let you go outside to play before most people are awake. ha! You are turning into a story teller and you have such fluctuations with your voice and hand movements. ha! You are learning the difference between when it's time to be funny and when it's not. :)
May has been a full but good month!
We started the month by picking you up at JoJo's and going to Nelly's house! You two are SUPER cute!
You came home from school with this picture to color and were really excited to color this picture for your Dee Dee!
Dee Dee bought you some new goggles for when our pool opens!

I'm so grateful to have a church that lets us talk about YOU and your CF! We were able to share about you in the "Come to the Table" area on two Sunday mornings. What a blessing. We raised almost $600 for your team.

Hugging my sweet Aspen! Little did I know you had the flu...
Right now, you are recovering from the flu. You were "down" Saturday night, Sunday, Monday and ready to play on Tuesday. Oh how we are praying that no one else gets it. Pops is sick too but they said his flu test was negative.
You went to CF clinic on the 21st of May. I love to educate and I love to share with people what the doctors said so they can pray...
Aspen’s CF clinic appointment was yesterday. He gained almost a pound in two months... which is good for him... but he also grew OVER an inch 😬😳since March. He has really sprouted up! That lowers his BMI to 8%. The doctor ordered a CT scan for July 16th. If there is ANY change... OR if his BMI dips down to 5% or less, they will do a consult for a G-tube (feeding tube). Please join us in praying for whatever is ultimately best for his lungs! A healthy weight is important for lung function. He’s such a little FIGHTER! 💜🙌🏻 Thank you for praying for sweet Aspen!
You go back for your next appointment in July! We're praying that your BMI will be above 5% so they don't have to consult with a gastro doctor about a feeding tube! One day at a time... one day at a time!
This Dee Dee is grateful that it's summer. I can't wait to play with y'all more! I want to have movie dates and all sorts of fun things. You're growing so quickly and SOOO much, I know these days won't last forever, so I'm cherishing the time that you still love to come and see me!
I thank God that I get to live next door to y'all! What a blessing!
