Happy 8th birthday, sweet Aspen!!! I CAN NOT believe you are 8!
You have changed so much this past year. It's like you are one of the "adults" these days! You beat everyone on the Mario Switch! LOL You hunt and shoot birds like you are much older. You can cast a rod like crazy and you picked up on fly fishing really fast. You are standing up ON your bike riding. Mercy you have grown SO fast and I have loved watching you every single day. I feel SUPER blessed that you all live next door and that I have been able to pour into you these years. I give PRAISE to the Lord for how well you have done physically. The Lord has had His hand on your life for sure. I know He has incredible plans for you.
You are a "mini-me" in so many ways. I love that SO much. You are sweet to your Dee Dee and love to come and see me and I'm so grateful for that.
You've had such an incredible month. We are still in the middle of a pandemic and we are still socially distancing as best we can. Pops and I pray daily for a hedge of protection to be around our family. So far, we have been healthy and well and I give the Lord all the praise!
We started the month coming back from the Hike Inn. We had SO much fun. We were packing up and leaving to come home but what amazing memories we made.

It was a cool morning and was supposed to rain but we only got a few sprinkles. I was SO incredibly grateful for the weather we had.

On the way home, we stopped at Frontera's. It was raining so we couldn't eat outside. This was the 2nd or 3rd time to eat indoors in over a year. It was 3pm and pretty empty though! LOL

Your Dad had to leave Sunday afternoon to get back to work on Monday. We played at Hunting State Park and looked for crabs. We rode the golf cart and looked for deer and alligators! And we watched a movie and played Mario. What an amazing trip we had.
SO SO grateful for the memories of March 2021.
We are praying for the pandemic and for wisdom to know how to handle it. It's been over a year now and we are still struggling as a country. Lord, direct our paths.
You will go back to clinic in June and it should be time or ALMOST time to take Trikafta. WE ARE SO THANKFUL. We're praying already that your body will accept the medicine well.
You are 8! You are EIGHT! Your Dee Dee can't believe it. You are adventurous and a risk taker! You love to run and jump and explore. You love to hike and fish and ride your bike. You love to play games. You are SO much FUN! You love your shakes and fruit. You love jerky and Thai. You love wings and Chipotle. You aren't a cake guy - you love fruit tarts like your Mom and Dee Dee.
I've loved watching you play with our neighbor Sam because I've seen that you can make choices on your own. I've seen that you aren't afraid to say NO! I pray often for your friend choices as you grow.
You've had so much fun with your birthday this year! I've told you HOW to celebrate your birthday week! ha! You've made your opinions known and you remind us it's your birthday week or eve. LOL I love it!
Happy 8th birthday, sweet Aspen! Your Dee Dee loves you SO SO much. To the moon and back and back again. I pray this will be a wonderful year for you. I have SOOOOOOO loved you being homeschooled this year and have cherished the time you are home and can play outside. That's been one AMAZING thing about the pandemic.
