7 years and 7 months... you've had another healthy month! PRAISE!

Happy 7 years and 7 months, sweet Aspen! Your Dee Dee loves you SO much. 

We started the month with a graveside service for Papa Thomason. He passed away on 9-25-20 and we are doing his service in Rome on 9-29-20. He is now at rest and with Jesus and Granny in heaven. We are thankful for that but we will miss him. 

The day started out raining a LOT as we had the service in Snellville. We drove to Rome in the rain and praise the Lord... the skies held back and did NOT rain when we got there. We were so grateful. Your Dad and Pops and Co-Chri were pall-bearers. 

For a long while, people were not able to have burial services because of COVID. I'm grateful that we could have a service for Papa but we are still wearing masks. 

You had so many questions. Where was Granny? Why did they cover Papa with dirt? How did he get to heaven? I love, LOVE how inquisitive you are. 

Dee Dee bought you a hula-hoop because you were SO good for something but I can't remember what. haha! You rocked it though. The rest of us struggled to keep it up for 3 seconds and you were a natural. You always seem to be! :) 

I took you on a date to get your Daddy a birthday present. You bought him some fishing lures. We went to Academy Sports. 

Holding Charlie but you always seem to have SOME kind of bug or lizard in your hand. 

Celebrating your Dad, "Covid" style. It was the perfect weather weekend. We had a picnic with steaks and a bonfire. We had a great time! Happy 34 to your Dad! 

You and B love to play Simon says! 

You have grown so much! You have an appointment with the CF clinic next month...

You and B love to play in the creek. I don't know what y'all are going to do when it gets too cold. ha! 

Your Dad and Pops found this snake in the middle of the road in Jersey and stopped to pick it up and bring it home to show you two!

You continue to work on your house! You LOVE to help. You even got to take something up the ladder!

We went to Dollar General so Bennett could spend his tooth fairy money and you had money burning a hole in your pocket too! :) 

You love to "rough house" with your Daddy! 

And... you love to drive Bennett crazy too! haha! 

You love crafts! You made this for me. 

You had a spend the night party at Nelly's! Movie and chili night! :) 

SO.MUCH.FUN! We went to the mountains and hiked...

Your Mom and Bennett met us in Asheville. We ate dinner at Tupelo Honey and got an apple at Kilwin's to take back to our cabin! 

We had such amazing views! 

And gorgeous weather! 

We hiked on Max Patch! 

And had some ENO time! 

Your Mommy did have much quiet ENO time though! HA! 

We ate in Hot Springs. Only our 2nd time to eat inside in 9 months. Someone was smoking on the outside porch where your Mom really wanted to eat...by the river! 

We played games at night...

The only time it rained in 4 days... a few minutes the morning of the pumpkin patch/apple orchard. And thankfully it stopped shortly after we got there! 

You said this was your favorite thing! 

You LOVE a good apple! 

We made chili for dinner one night. You LOVE to help! 

And, I love to snuggle with you! 

You got really good at Mancala! 

Your Dad didn't go. We came home and had a fire in the driveway with him! 

I love how you love to help and learn! SO cute! 

You are silly! You love to help. You love to sneak up on people. You love playing in the creek. You love to fish and you love ALL things water. You love to explore and my heart could explode knowing you have 10 areas to explore. I love that you are schooled at home this year so that you have the opportunity to do those things and to stay healthy. You love anything that crawls. You love to come to Dee Dee's house! You love Friday wing nights! You love jerky days with Dee Dee! You love surprises and are so inquisitive. You asked to spend the night at Dee Dee's so you could wake up on Halloween at our house. TOO cute! SO...we are going to have a spend the night party on the 30th. :)

You wanted a snack so you got a pepper! I thought that was hilarious! 

Pops cleaned out the driveway and gave you a pair of binoculars and glasses and a duck call. ha!

We made a video for the CF Foundation for Insure the Cure! You think it's fun to do these things! 

We've had some beautiful days this month! 

Talked your Mama into a long lunch in Monroe. We got Your Pie and had a picnic! 

And, played some Simon Says! 

Practicing for deer hunting with your Dad! 

We took the kayaks out for Nelly's birthday! 

We carved pumpkins. You went through 3 because your design is bigger than your ability! LOL 

We had so much fun though! 

 

What a fun month chock-full of memories! We are still in a pandemic. We are still in an ugly election cycle (the election is Tuesday) and we were able to vote together as a family. You actually went with me to the election poll where I placed my vote. The president is between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. This has been like NO other time in history. I pray for our country. I pray for you as you grow up in this ever changing, evil society that we are in. I am thankful that I KNOW the LORD sees and He knows and it may seem like things and times are out of control but they are NOT! He is sovereign and nothing slips past Him that He doesn't allow. 

You go back to clinic in November. November is "historically" your sickest month. I pray for a hedge of protection around you. Around your lungs! Around our family. 

Praying for a wonderful, family filled, memory filled, healthy, God glorifying month.
