7 years and 5 months and welcome to 2nd grade! :)

Happy 7 years and 5 months! What a great "pandemic" month we've had! :)
You started school AT HOME this month after a 5 month break. We're still in construction mode and making great progress! We've spent a lot of time on the "compound" and I'm grateful every single day for the time we've had together. You are one inquisitive, funny, logical and analytical, outside loving, fast runner, game loving, flip-flop loving, energetic, wing loving, jerky loving little guy and your Dee Dee couldn't love you more.

We started the month with a Dee Dee/Aspen night. We went to downtown Monroe for dinner on the lawn. It's been HOT but we're getting in our outside time. It's starting to get dark earlier and your Dee Dee is already dreading the time change in November. My favorite time of the day is being outside at night. BUT! We can't wait for cooler weather.

Look at your cute smile! :)

We played Simon Says!

You LOVE to draw and to make things! You are very creative...

Snuggle time is my favorite!

I love that you still love to play games... any kind!

You already know what it's like to wear a mask and you never complain!

I LOVE rainbows! It reminds me of God's promises! God has His hand on you, sweet boy, and I am so thankful. I pray every day that you will have a personal relationship with Him at an early age.

You love to help!

We got this cool toy at TJ Maxx!

Looking out my bedroom window and seeing you two playing makes my heart happy!

Anytime you want to snuggle with Dee Dee is a GOOD time!

You all are finishing your toy room! It's so much fun to watch you help!

Playing in the creek is your favorite thing...

Science project day and you were SUPER excited!

You three are so cute! Eating a little pizza and watching a video!

You had your first babysitting gig! ha! Nelly paid you to watch Thomason.

Bugs! Bugs! You love anything that crawls!

You LOVE being one of the guys!

This is a job everyone is glad for you to be helping with! :)

Wii time in the basement is FUN!

You CAN do it... no matter what IT is! I love your "can do" attitude!

We made mini meatloafs!

We tried to make a dragon fly out of paper! HARD! :)

You get tired of reading but we had fun learning more about sharks!

You got to pick what we had for dinner (I got the stuff to make pizzas) but you wanted CFA! HA!

Lambie and Sunrise! You got sunrise when we went to the beach and went to watch the sun rise! I LOVE that you still have her! :)

You wanted an omelet for breakfast... ham and cheese! :)

We went to Monroe and to The Story Shop!

You got a new book!

I found an old I-Pod and you were SO happy about it. LOL

Playing with Meeko!

We went to get a dishwasher at Papa's. We saw a huge double rainbow on the way home. It was so much brighter than it looks here!

Welcome to 2nd grade! Your Dee Dee is SUPER grateful you are being schooled at home this year!

Welcome to 2nd grade!!!

Bennett got some gummy sushi in the mail and you three demolished it!

Always exploring!

You found a snake outside and told your Mom..."Don't worry! I was really careful when I killed it. I got a rock and smushed his head!" :O GASP! LOL #youarebrave

Your marshmallow snowman! ha

You two can play for hours outside!

Dee Dee and Pops gave Thomason this train set! We went to his house to check it out!

You can climb like a PRO on the jungle gym!

You love playing with your Daddy! He comes in from work and you pester him and get him to play with you no matter what he has going on. It's the cutest!

You know your Dee Dee loves you when she holds a snail just because you want her to! ha!

Your first time to clinic in 6 months! Now even Mommy has to wear a mask!

You are part of a research study!

You didn't have to be held down...and you ask a LOT of questions like your Dee Dee... but you got your IV like a champ (even though real tears were falling)!

I kept Bennett. You wanted to FaceTime. I LOVE it!

It's OUT! And.... now it's time to EAT!

You asked your Mom if she was SURE you weren't spending the night! CF appointments = long days!

You love to use tape and scissors and to make things! You made Thomason a car!

You three spent the night and we went to Monroe to play and eat!

You love kinder eggs!

You took this picture! You said my picture wasn't as good because it's "all about the angle!" hahahaha

This has been a good month! We've stayed home a LOT because of the quarantine but that's ok... we sure are blessed to have had a healthy month. You are so happy go lucky and you love having land to explore! You come out to the creek or up to see me just about anytime you can. You are loving and caring and love to pester B. You have a stubborn streak and sometimes have to be told several times to do something but you have a heart of gold. You love to give gifts and to make things for people. You are so sweet and your Dee Dee couldn't love you more.

Your CF clinic visit went really well. Your PFT's were 103%! OH YEAH! Your highest until this point was 101. SO exciting. Your Mom is waiting on the results of your CFTR tests and swabs. Your weight was 51.8 pounds - about the same - but the doctors were ok with it. Dr S said it would be about 6 months before Trikafta was available for your age group. We continue to pray in advance of you taking that medicine... that your liver will handle it easily and that it will be an awesome medicine for you until a CURE! :)

Our fundraising this year is about 1/3 of what it normally is. People just don't have it to give or are scared to. For whatever reason... we're way behind. I sure am praying people will soften their heart and give to help you FIGHT!

I can't believe it's almost September! You can tell the weather is starting to cool down a little bit. It's been SO rainy... I sure pray that this next month will be drier.

BUT, more than anything... I ask the Lord to continue to have a hedge of protection around us. CF people are doing really well with this COVID-19 but older people aren't. I'm asking the Lord to give us wisdom and discernment in all that we do.

I can't believe my little buddy is in 2nd grade. You are growing WAY too fast. I sure pray this will be an awesome month for you and we will continue to make progress on the houses!

I sure do love you, Aspen! Always and forever!

Dee Dee
