Happy 7 years and 2 months, sweet Aspen!
The world is a little "crazy" right now. We are still in the COVID-19 pandemic and you haven't been many places this month. We still wear a mask when we go into stores (although you haven't been to many in the past 2 1/2 months). Atlanta is rioting in the streets and burning police cars because a cop brutally killed a man.
SO! MANY! CRAZY things... but one thing NEVER changes. And that is GOD is in control. He sees and He knows and we are trusting in Him.
Another thing that never changes... your Dee Dee loves you to the moon and back!
Even during these uncertain times.... we've had an awesome month. We've had a lot of quality family time. We've played outside a good bit and on your monthly birthday... we are here in FLA at Ponte Vedra Beach! You have been healthy and we're SO grateful.
You ran up to Dee Dee's one morning and we sat on the steps and talked for a few minutes!
You are getting really good at counting money. This is a money game and is really teaching you!

Your Mom and Dad celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary this month on May 24th. The 4 of us went to Ivy Green in Buford. We were there about 5 minutes before some MAJOR storms blew through.
We were trapped under I85 for about 45 minutes while the storm passed...
When the storm passed, we picked up sushi! You two love some sushi!

HOORAY! We haven't been many places at all in 2 1/2 months... but we were able to get away and head to the beach for 4 days! Ponte Vedra is one of our favorite places.

What a beautiful day we had. I prayed that the Lord would hold the rain back and He sure did. It didn't rain but a few drops after dinner! What a beautiful day it was. After dinner in our room... we all went down to watch your Dad fish and to look for shark teeth!
I am SO grateful for this month. Yes, we are in a pandemic. Yes, times are uncertain. BUT! We had a wonderful month and you've been healthy and so has our family. That is a BLESSED month.
You are fiercely independent and it's the cutest thing. Most of the time! :) Your appetite has really increased in the past 6 months and you are up to 54 pounds. You were supposed to go to CF clinic in May but it was rescheduled for August because of the virus. I think you're doing great and we are SO thankful.
Your last day of school was March 13th and we have no idea how school will be when you go back. One day at a time. One day at a time. I am praying you will be able to do school at home this year because of all of the craziness of the virus! We shall see! Things seem to be changing daily.
We are anxiously waiting on lightning bugs to arrive and tree frogs. We love to play outside. You love all things crawly and in the creek and you'd rather be outside than watching a movie. Y'all have family Friday night movie night and often have wings! Your favorite and your Dad's too. I LOVE when we can play outside late at night. I love that y'all come up to play in the afternoon.
You are my buddy ole pal and you love to come see Dee Dee! I pray you will stay healthy and for the decisions coming up in the next few months.
