6 years and 10 months and you've decided you want to build houses when you grow up! :)

Aspen!!!
You have grown so much over the past few months. You use such expression when you tell your stories. Your reading has taken OFF! You are reading your Bible to your Mommy and Dada. You tell many more stories than you used to when I pick you up. You told me this month that you think girls are pretty! :)  You have a sweet spirit about you and love well. Your best friend at school is Ella. You love you some chicken wings and can put away 15-20 on Friday nights with your family. You decided this month that you want to build houses when you grow up because you like putting things together so well. You told me that you are going to build "my parents" :) (your words) a house and Dee Dee one too. ha! You LOVE to help your Dad build things and tear things apart. You want to be just like him. It's super cute. You think that women don't work (even though your Mommy works hard) LOL ! We aren't sure where you got that from. You are funny and caring and tough! You can be sensitive too. You are a super fast runner. You love to hide and to scare people. You love to figure things out for yourself. You are determined and you don't give up easily. You love to draw. You are learning the art of sarcasm. It's such a tough thing to learn. You would think that math would be your favorite subject because you love to play "what is 2 + 100 + 54 + 199 + 22" in the car. haha! You say that reading is your favorite subject though because you can get better and better and better. I love that you WANT to. You want to know "how much longer" just about every time you get in the car. You want the GPS to be displayed on the screen so you can watch the time get shorter and shorter. LOL

You are so much fun! You wanted an elf from Santa and you got one! The elf had so much fun with you this month. He left at the middle of the month when your Mama took down the Christmas decorations because he had to go back to the North Pole! :)

Your Mama and Daddy got you this Crayola tracing thing for Christmas. You love to draw SO much!

Your Mama gets excited when you two play nicely together. Dee Dee bought you the nerf Connect 4 game for Christmas! I'm glad you've had fun with it.

The first part of the month was warm and the second half has been COLD. I'm so glad we had some time to enjoy the great outdoors. You even got some creek time in. Your favorite thing to do outside.
Christmas pajamas, a short sleeve shirt and cammo boots. I like your look! :)

Happy New Years Eve! Welcome 2020! It's so much fun that y'all can come up and spend it with us...

I got these silly hats at Target and they were worth the money...

Playing in the basement and trying to keep you awake until mid-night...

You made it until about 11pm.

We were able to wake you up long enough to pour apple juice in one glass but you were OUT again! ha

Thomason tried his best to wake you two up... but no luck! :)

The weekend after New Years was beautiful. You spent the day outside with your family...

You were asleep at midnight on New Years, so we did some fireworks later in the week...

You love fireworks. You think you are 16 instead of 6. You think you should be able to do anything your Dad can do. It's cute and funny at the same time! :)

Praise the Lord... your Mom gets to work from home 3 days a week and she now goes to Atlanta only 2 days. She has been SO excited. She bought a new desk for her office.

I love when you FaceTime. You lost a tooth.

We went to Panda Express. You carry a wallet and it's the cutest thing!

We celebrated Christmas late with Cocoa/Noel
and Steven and Summer and Rosemary! :)  Pops did a little karaoke and you weren't too sure about it. LOL

Cocoa got you a book on how to make paper airplanes! You love it!

Your Dad has really been wanting to try out The Red Crawfish in Loganville. Looks like you were a fan!

You two missed the last 2 days of school because the flu is so bad this year. You went back to school to some goodies that came home with you both!

Dee Dee has been purging BIG time! I found Honey Bear and you loved him! You wanted to take him home with you...

We got a game of kickball going. Me, you and B were on a team against Pops! LOL We won! :)

We're not sure where your new found love of football has come from but you love to throw the ball!

Watching you two wrestle is one of my favorite things to do outside...

We tried to put Mouse Trap back together again!

You made an "Aspen on a string" at school! :)

Your Dada brought some boiled peanuts home... you're a fan!

Playing throw with Bow Valley...

Family tackle time! :)

You love when your Dad gets home from work!

You brought this marshmallow star to put together and had so much fun doing it!

Football with BV!

We may have been late... but we decorated gingerbread cookies!

You love it when you WIN Monopoly but you can be a sore loser when you don't. We're trying to teach you that you can't win every time. You are competitive like your Dee Dee!

Warm enough for Charlie to come out...

SO many memories are being made in our yard! 2, 5 and 6

We haven't played Jinga in a while. I love when you come by after school!

Preparing for the 100th day of school... you are going to dress like a 100 year old man. ha!

You played the part well. I even bought you a cane to take to school but you ended up being too embarrassed to take it. I'm hoping you'll start not getting embarrassed that easily! :)

If there's a piece of paper around... you're usually drawing!

Dee Dee showing you MY way of tying shoes and you were a fan! You watched me do it a few times and BAM! You learned too!

Dee Dee told you if you would try hard to tie your shoes that I would take you ice skating. So we did!

Special memories with you!

It was harder than you thought it would be. It was harder than I thought too! LOL

Bringing the trash can up on the back of the golf cart. hahaha

Your Dad is very patient with you!

Dee Dee and Pops were asked to sing LOVE SHACK at church at a marriage conference. You think we're a little crazy! LOL

Your Booster-thon! You ran all 35 laps and you were super proud!

Pops and your Dad working on their January/February projects. First up was rebuilding this wall.

Your Mommy has a cold, so Dee Dee took you to Walmart to get Ella a birthday present! I love that you picked her out a cat wallet and a drawing kit.

We went to Taco Bell - your choice. I've been telling you I would take you. You said your belly hurt and you only ate 2 bites.

We went to get your hair cut and you started complaining about being cold.

When you got done at Great Clips, I knew you were getting sick!

We were supposed to take pictures for a CF project. You gave it your ALL but I could tell by your eyes that you were sick.

Your Mommy took your temperature and it was 101.7. Your temperature was gone the next morning. It must have been a 12-24 hour virus. THANK YOU, LORD!

We went to Ace Hardware to look for deck supplies and you loaded up your pants with rocks! ha!

You are an Ambassador for Insure the Cure! What an honor and exciting thing. You came up and did your "All About Aspen" form and did it the first time, with not much help and look how well you did! You even designed your "thank you card" for those participating. I had this heart paper in a drawer. You went and got it and came up with this design all on your own. You LOVE to draw. I'm so glad we can enjoy doing these things that help you and help fight CF together!

You were SO happy that I was so proud of you. Look at that beaming face! :)

You come up with your own poses and it's the cutest thing! You are so grown-up looking!

SO incredibly handsome!

The pose you chose! You wanted to look to the side. How cute is THAT?

I love our yard. I love that we share a yard. I love you!

Your Dad is replacing our deck and he decided to start the demolishing process while Pops was out of town. It's SUPER exciting. I can't wait for summer to arrive and to have a place to sit and watch y'all swim!

I love your willingness to help. You love to be "one of the guys!" You're your Dad's buddy! You copy what he does and you LOVE to help him. It's the sweetest thing. You're a hard worker just like him.

You have a cough that isn't going away, so your Mom is having to call the CF clinic for an anti-biotic. I sure pray it will kick this cough to the curb! We are SO grateful that it has been 15 months since you have been admitted to CHOA.

Great things are happening in the world of CF and it's so exciting. We are kicking off your 2020 Great Strides team and we are praying for people to GIVE. People giving has made such a difference in your life.

The CF season is kicking off in FULL swing this month. Dee Dee will be speaking at a fundraiser and Dee Dee and Pops will be going to Washington DC to advocate on your behalf. I'm so grateful I am able to make a difference in your life now and in the years to come. I hope you will always look back and know your Dee Dee is and always will be one of your biggest cheerleaders!
