What a wonderfully blessed month this has been. I'm so grateful for a healthy, happy, full of adventure summer for you and for our family! You've done SO well and this Dee Dee's heart is full of gratitude! Thank you, Lord! It's hard to believe that NEXT week you are starting SCHOOL! Pre-K .... 4 days a week. I know it's going to be hard for your Mommy and Dada. It's going to be hard for this Dee Dee too. You are SUPER excited though and are already telling us that you are going to stay there alone. LOL We're grateful you are excited and want a little independence but it's going to take some getting used to.
We've had so much fun playing outside this month! From kayaking to swimming and riding your bike and catching bugs... you have had a blast!
You and Mommy and Dada and B went to Stone Mountain lake for the first time. You all loved it!
We went to see Cars 3 over the Forth of July holiday. You have some of your Dee Dee's tendencies and that includes not sitting through a movie without getting a little bored. haha! We had a great time though! We went to a theatre where you could order food at your seat. :)
We went to Frontera's for dinner afterwards. You and Bennett love your Co-Chri! He runs and runs with y'all!
You overwhelm your Dee Dee's heart with your love! You're my buddy! And I love it. We have fun together and I'm so grateful.
You love to have your hair cut. It's the cutest thing!
You and your Mommy and B went with me and Pops to buy a new car for Dee Dee. We bought a 2017 VW Beetle Dune. Her name is Daisy Dune and you LOVE her and so do I! This is you at the dealership with Pops! You were SO good because y'all had to wait so long. Look at you trying to copy Pops and the way he is standing. You couldn't have a better example than the men in your life. Your Pops is amazing!!!
After we bought Daisy Dune, we went to the Mall of Georgia and you and Bennett were able to jump and slide and had such a great time!
I love how you are so aware. You know what my favorite flower is and how much I love sunsets. You know everyone's favorite color. You are going to make an amazing husband one day. You made me this sunflower picture for me and said..."You can keep it. I drew it for you cause

July was a special month because you went to Sunday school for the first time! You've had to stay away because of germs and being exposed. It made our hearts so happy for you to be able to go. You seemed to love it. I pray that you'll come to know Jesus at an early age and know how to rely and depend on Him! I pray you will trust in HIM!
We celebrated Nicole's 36th birthday and had so much fun with our family! It had rained every day until today. LOVE our family time!
You love playing with Steven. It's so cute! We think you wanted to impress him. You had not been getting your hair wet and now look at you... you are jumping off the side of the pool. :)

Mommy and Dada took you and Bennett to CFA to "adopt a caterpillar!" Y'all asked Dee Dee to go and I'm so glad. It was so cute watching y'all!
You're riding your bike more this month. You are so good at it. You're learning to "brake!"
You came up to spend the afternoon and before you went home... we chased lightening bugs! You love to do that. I'll be sad for summer and late nights to be over with.
You love to make chocolate milk with Dee Dee! We make it with syrup and you blow and blow the milk into bubbles! haha! But you always drink it up!
Your caterpillar turned into a butterfly. You were SO excited.
Dee Dee got a kayak and can now join y'all on the lake! :)

Our "Dee Dee and Aspen date!" We went to Target, TJ Maxx and Publix! You love to cruise with me in Daisy. We sing O'Lord by Lauren Daigle! Oh my heart can hardly take how cute you are! You'll sing the song at full voice if no one else is around.

Dee Dee and Pops were gone for 10 days this month. We went to Seattle and Oregon. I can't wait to go on another vacation with YOU! Mommy sent me this picture. Look how grown you are!!!
Mommy is SO brave. Dada has been getting home really late. We were gone and she decided to take y'all to Monroe movie night. SO much fun! I wish I could have seen y'all play!

You hadn't seen Dada for 4 days because of his new work schedule. You were excited to see him!
It sounds like a perfect day! As I write this... I have just gotten home from 10 days in the Pacific Northwest. I haven't even see you yet. But, I can't wait to see you tomorrow! I've missed you SO much! You wanted a fish prize... so that's what we got you! :)
You are friendly and talkative like your Dada. You have a sense of humor and are crazy like your Dee Dee! You "pay attention to detail" like your Mommy and Dee Dee and it all makes my heart full.
You call an umbrella a rain-brella.
We saw a Labaor-doodle and I was showing you and you said, "NO, Dee Dee! That's called a carpet dog!" haha! It did look like carpet. :)
You drew me several pictures while I was gone. You told Mommy, "Dee Dee loves these flowers. It makes her know I love her in my heart and it makes her happy!" That makes me want to cry I love how caring you are. I love how you are funny and laugh at silly things. I love your independence and how you want to be able to do things for yourself! I believe that's going to really benefit you one day.
You go for your first CT scan in August. They will have to put you to sleep. We're praying for awesome results and that you're lungs are as healthy as they can be. We always get a little nervous when it's time for your clinic visit. Did you maintain your weight? Will you culture anything? Will your liver check out OK? SO many questions. Trusting and believing you will do amazingly well.
If you've read this far... please lift Aspen up in prayer for these things:
* A great report at his CF clinic visit in August and that the staph will be gone.
* Aspen as he starts school. Pray that his teachers will understand CF and what is best for Aspen!
* Praying that Aspen will do OK being around a lot of kids and that he won't get sick too much!
* Pray that Aspen's appetite will increase or hold steady and that his weight to height ratio will be acceptable to his doctors.
* Pray that Aspen will blend in well with kids his age. He hasn't been around a lot of children his age.
* Pray that his heart will be protected and that he can keep his innocence and will love school.
* Pray for Lindsey and Chris as they adjust to life that includes school and caring for Aspen's needs.
Aspen... your Dee Dee couldn't love you more! I'm so proud of the boy that you are turning in to. We pray for you daily in so many ways. You are loved SO very much!
Happy 4 and 1/3rd sweet boy!!!! August is going to be an exciting month. You start school, we're going camping and so many new adventures.
I can't wait for more adventures with you!!!
