Thanksgiving month! My favorite holiday of the year. I love the cool temperatures, family time with no pressure of picking the right gift, and reflecting on ALL the blessings that we have. This month has been a special month. We've done so many fun and special things and had good health along the way. I couldn't be more thankful for this November and I give the Lord all the praise!
It's amazing how quickly you have become accustomed to going outside and playing. It makes this Dee Dee's heart happy. You LOVE to play with Bow and your Mommy is sure some mornings you run a mile chasing her.
This is you and Bow playing on a beautiful morning!
October was such a busy month. We didn't have time to get to Burt's pumpkin patch until Halloween...October 31st but what a fun day it was. We left early in the morning for the drive up to the mountains.
You didn't like to slow down long enough for a picture but I'm sure grateful for the pictures that I got.
It was such a beautiful day! You are Mr. Independent these days... so you had to sit beside Mommy. :)
You picked out several pumpkins!
You were so proud that you picked it up all by yourself!
SO much to do and too little time to stop for a picture with Dee Dee and Pops! :)
Helping Pops!
This picture makes me laugh!
Your DaDa can really make you laugh...
We came home and went straight to "The Cross" church in Loganville to trick or treat. You were the cutest scarecrow ever!
Your laugh is the cutest...
You had so much fun bouncing and getting some candy!
You are such a brave little boy! You didn't let the big kids stop you from jumping...
They had a petting zoo!
You love to play with Pops...
Playing in the basement...
This is one of Dee Dee's favorite pictures! I love to watch you and Pops walking in the yard...
You got a big boy hair cut and you were SO proud of yourself.
You came up for movie night with Dee Dee and Pops! We watched the movie Planes. You sat with Dee Dee for at least 30 minutes and snuggled. I LOVED it. You said, "Dee Dee! Pass me some blanket!" You are so funny!
We had taco night. I LOVE that huge smile.
Dee Dee bought you some cereal at the store and you didn't understand why I didn't want any. LOL Your sweet face! We had a driveway snack party. :) Gummies, milkshake and cereal. Whatever it takes to get calories in you.
You were a fan of this cereal. I think you ate 1/3 of the box outside...
Gentleman training from Pops. He took you to pick a flower for Mommy and Dee Dee. We sure did love them.
The sweetest sight ever... you running up the driveway.
We took family "Thanksgiving/Fall" pictures this year instead of Christmas pictures. We wanted to use a "Believe" sign that Dee Dee found because we #BELIEVE in a #CURE for CF. That word is special to our family in so many ways. We BELIEVE in our heavenly Father and that He hears our prayers and wants the best for all of us. We BELIEVE in you and each other. We BELIEVE that our fundraising is making "Great Strides" towards a cure. WE BELIEVE!
I love that this picture has our driveway behind it. It reminds me of home... the place we've all made such wonderful, lasting memories.
We are blessed indeed!
Nelly and Co Chri LOVE you both so much!
I love this picture! Our Little Mister and our Chunky. Being y'alls DeeDee is an answer to prayer. :)
I love our family and I LOVE YOU, Aspen!
We celebrated Granny and Papa's 60th wedding anniversary at Journey's end with family and friends. We are all blessed to have such a legacy of loyalty and faithfulness.
DaDa's boys...
Sitting outside at Journey's end and I couldn't help but capture this moment... Your Mommy and DaDa love you both to the moon and back!
This is one of Dee Dee's favorite pictures! Look how big you look and your Mommy looks beautiful. She's wearing her "65 Roses" headband and looks beautiful. Y'all have been cleaning and working so hard for Thanksgiving!
Watching the lighting of the Macy's Christmas tree... You love Christmas trees this year and are ready to go see Santa! :)
Happy Thanksgiving, 2015! You look so handsome in your skinny jeans and polo. Dee Dee had to have a picture with you two cuties.
Mommy bought y'all new pajamas and y'all are sure looking cute! You had to have a 3T...finally moving out of 2T...for the length. Your pants fall down quite a bit but that's OK! You're eating so much better that maybe you'll grow into them really soon. :)
We found our tree! And her name shall be called Splendor... :)
You love to play around with your DaDa
He was throwing you SO high! I love this picture!
We came home and made gingerbread cookies! You had the best time. It made us all so happy to watch you really getting into it. You made reindeer, snowmen and Christmas trees.
You were so excited! You said..."That's perfect, Dee Dee!" :)
You are so funny! You are Mr. Independent...
Your Mommy is the baker...she had so much fun showing you how.
Aunt Nelly loves her Aspen! You had all three of us showing you how.
Such determination in your face!
Going into the oven... You ate one of the huge reindeer cookies. :)
The boys hang the lights up and we decorate. You and Mommy put the first ornament on the tree!
"Awesome! Perfect!" You crack us all up!
Pops is helping you with a heavy ornament...
You and Nelly hanging an ornament. Precious!
You were sad that we ran out of ornaments... SO CUTE!
Can you guess which ornaments you put up all by yourself? I LOVE it!
You are a bright and shining light in all of our lives. We love you SO! You were SO good going out to eat and decorating our tree...even if you were up until almost 11pm. I'm so proud of you.
Every month I don't think you can change anymore in 30 days than you do the previous month but this month might be a biggie. You turned into a full fledge big boy! You repeat everything and I mean everything. :) You are counting and know most of your shapes and all of your colors...even silver. LOL Your favorite color is orange. Your favorite shape is a triangle or a star. You LOVE the outdoors and finding Charlie. You love playing with Bow and running and chasing balls down the big hill. You don't like Bennett to have your toys unless you give it to him but we're working on that. You are super independent. You love "Bob train", Curious George, Veggie Tails and Sponge Bob. You are starting to love Micky Mouse too. Mommy is preparing you for a trip to Disney World one day. You are so funny! You love to say "Peace out everybody" and do your hands in the cutest way. You sleep most nights all the way through and love your big boy Spider Man bed. You take a nap right on schedule but do pretty well if you miss it. We went Black Friday shopping and you made it all day and were SO good!
You made your first fridge art and Mommy loved it so much! You made it at Mrs. Emma's. Since you can't go to Sunday school at church, this was even more exciting! Mommy has this proudly displayed on your fridge. :)
SO much to be thankful for....
Flu season always makes me a little anxious. Our family doesn't get sick easily but I know that it's so much more serious for you than for the rest of us. I have to really fight being stressed about all the sick people that are around. It's hard for people to understand that we LOVE to be around people and we would LOVE for you to come to church but we can't risk you catching something. Because your lungs have sticky mucus in them... if you catch something, the mucus gets "stuck" in your chest and causes an infection. Our goal is to keep your lungs as healthy as possible.
I am SO THANKFUL the Lord has blessed you with a good immune system. You've never had a chest infection and we are so grateful. That doesn't mean we don't have to take extra precaution. Your Mommy runs a diffuser that is an immune booster, watches who we are around and does SO much to keep you healthy.
SO.... on "This Day"... I am praying for a "deep trust in His plan and purposes" and have "assurance that He is in control." Thank you, Jesus!
December is going to be an exciting month.
Please join us in prayer...
* The family to remain healthy and well. For those that are sick to not come near for his sake...
* Aspen will have gained weight at his December check-up at the CF clinic
* For Aspen not to culture anything at clinic that could cause lung damage to his sweet lungs!
We are SO incredibly thankful to all that pray for our sweet boy! God sees! God knows! And, we are forever grateful for your support.
Aspen... Dee Dee loves you to the moon and back and back again! I'm excited for December and always am praying for you.
