You've been talking about turning 10 so long that it almost seems like you have to be older than 10 years + 1 month! 😂
You can really tell that you are double digits. You SEEM like a pre-teen for sure and this Dee Dee isn't ready for it. You are funny yet sassy. You are smart yet don't like school. You are adventurous and will try anything. You are all things outdoors. You are good at most anything you touch or try (except crossing your eyes 😂). You are stubborn and determined. You are into "projects" and don't "need" help with anything. 😆 You recently said you wanted to try hockey. I'm not sure where that came from. You can pester but also love so well. You love playing with Truett but are "too old" to play with Bennett and Thomason. ♥️ You easily "forget" things - like having your blowgun taken away from you - so it's part of my prayer for you that you'll be honest and always tell the truth.
Your favorite restaurant is "Tacos and Beer" in Monroe. You can put away some food! You've outgrown the kids menu when you're allowed to. LOL You are fun and even though you don't run up and say HEY as much as possible like you used to... you're still coming up and I LOVE that.
We started the month with Thomason spending the night with Dee Dee and Pops for a couple of nights. We took him to church with us on Palm Sunday and kids church was cancelled so y'all came to service with us.
You and B spent the night with us one of the two nights...
Thomason brought his golf clubs and y'all played!

We bought you this metal detector for your birthday. You thought it was cool for a few days but I haven't seen it since then. 🙄
Me and your Mama went to Publix and came home to find Bennett and Thomason tied to the swing. Pops and your Dad were playing corn hole. hahahaha!

We took T on his first official hike with us to Preacher's Rock near Dahlonega. That's the first hike I took you on also! ❤️

I've been wanting to take y'all to the Toccoa Swinging Bridge and we finally made it. Everyone loved it!
Easter Sunday at the Grove! It didn't feel strange to be at our new church. We are really loving it.
It was terrible weather so the Easter egg hunt at church was inside (it had already been canceled twice).
Y'all painted eggs this year instead of dying them. It was your Mama's idea and a good one!

SO thankful we can celebrate resurrection day as a family. It's my favorite holiday of the year. To know that Jesus was born so He would die for you and me is overwhelming but so wonderful to have that HOPE!

We went to Yogi in the Smokies for your Mama's 32nd birthday! SO much fun!
Me and your Mama and Pops hiked 10 miles RT on this trail in 2019...
We have been working SOOOO hard to raise money for your Great Strides 2023 walk for a CURE. This is our first year to be on the struggle bus with people donating. Our economy isn't doing well and I think people are scared. PLUS! They see (I think) how well you are doing. No matter what though... until CF stands for CURE FOUND... your Dee Dee will do all I can to raise awareness and money. We have raised over $180,000 since you were born and I'm super excited about that and thankful. I give the Lord all the praise for all the good things that are happening in the world of CF and for EVERY person that has helped us get where we are. 💜

We camped at Yogi in the Smokies by the river. You love a good 🔥 campfire!
Me and your Mama love the same things. It's so fun! We visited the NOC in Bryson City and had lunch. It was so good.

Your Mama wanted to go see Mario at the theaters on her birthday eve.... you four were wrestling. It's a good thing no one was around! 😆
ON your Mama's birthday we went to Talulah Gorge State Park and hiked down into the gorge floor. Dee Dee and Pops had tried 3-4 times prior to today and could never get a permit.
We got one today even though they said the water was running "high!"
We got down to the floor but couldn't cross the entire thing because the water was too high. We saw several groups ahead of us turn around. We will try again one day this summer!
In total we climbed over 1,100 steps!
We visited Wander at Talulah Falls... we love that place!
You two were able to climb the wall!
Look how OLD you look! You shot this ground squirrel with your blow gun... gutted it and stuffed it with cotton and put it on a key chain. You NO DOUBT are full of original ideas and all sorts of ideas... just like your Daddy.
We came back after dinner in downtown Lawrenceville and had cookie cake on the porch and let your Mama open her presents! 🎁
Your Mama and Daddy went on a date night and we went to Tacos and Beer. You say it's your favorite place to eat!
There was a SUPER loud group there and neither of us like loud noises! ha
This picture makes me laugh so hard. You two have broken and used all the pencils and crayons your Mama bought y'all so you had to use your own money to buy new and you did NOT find it humorous! LOL I was proud of your Mama because y'all don't know how to take care of your things and need to learn!
These are all the shells we found when we went to Florida for your 10th birthday trip. I found this bowl in Monroe this week and it's PERFECT to store that trips shells only. I love it!
You've had a good month. It's been warm and it's been COLD but I kinda like the variety. We are LOVING the later daylight hours although it's confusing you a little bit. 😂
You've been healthy and I'm so so thankful. We continue to praise the Lord for good health and all the ways Trikafta is helping. You missed your March clinic visit because we were in FLA and I don't know when your Mom rescheduled for. I guess you are waiting until June at this point. 😆
You are having some issues with your attitude. Your Mama has tried changes to diet and oils. She's so good at all that stuff and trying new things. Nothing seems to really "get" your attention. She takes away your "weapons" and you just make something else to use. You are very resourceful. We are praying that you will make changes this month and learn the lessons you need to. You can be pretty stubborn and you have an anger problem at times but you are also so sweet and loving and fun! I am so grateful you can learn at home and pray every day that you will do your best.
I can't believe it's almost MAY! It's walk month! We are going to the beach too! So many things to look forward to. Your Dee Dee loves you SO much. I pray you will always enjoy coming by the house and showing me all the "things!" I love you to the moon and back and back again!
