Happy 9 1/2 years old sweet Aspen!
You started the month at CF clinic. Today is also Papa Thomason's birthday. 8-29! We sure do miss him.
This is the longest you've been between appointments. I think it was 5 months. You look awesome and seem to be doing well. Your Mama has learned how to do a visit. She brings games and your iPad and all the things. Y'all seem to have fun - even if you're trapped in a small room waiting for all the people to come! These pictures made me smile! Bennett stayed with Dee Dee while you two were gone!
You got your IV like a big boy and they didn't have to hold you down! YAY, Aspen! You are becoming so mature in so many ways. It's so sweet to watch. You have times of a temper if you don't get your way but it's a growing process I know.
You are a part of research also. You are having a glucose monitor attached to you. You are SO big! You failed your 2 hour glucose test but your Mom has her doubts. Your A1C and glucose were WELL in the range. We are waiting on results.
Time to celebrate! You wanted to go to Scoops!

We stopped at this place called Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX! They have old Cadillacs in a huge field and people spray paint on them. I sprayed your name on the first car!
We've been able to FaceTime. You've remind me every time that you can't BELIEVE we left you. You've even said NOW you are mad when you see the pics of where we are! LOL
Y'all had a picnic and fished for your Friday night family night! You wanted to catch a duck and your Mom said SURE... knowing you wouldn't catch one. Well.. you did! hahahaha

This is one of the hikes Pops and I did in Colorado. You told your Mom... "The more pictures I see... the madder I get!" TOO funny! You really wanted to come with us and I really wanted you to also. I'm hoping we can road trip for your 10th birthday! Gasp! I can hardly type that. I LOVE that you want to go with us. I sure have missed you SO much!
You called to tell us that you killed two squirrels. SO cute! You had your gun taken away this month for having a bad attitude. You're working on it though... I can tell!

I love your JOY! I love your excitement for the things you are passionate about. I love your sense of humor! I love that you laugh and can't stop just like ME! You might have gotten in trouble with your Daddy for laughing when you shouldn't have and I may have laughed when I heard about it. LOL I love your determination and willingness to help. I love when you come to see me and ring the doorbell. LOL I love your sarcasm - when it's used the right way! haha! You bring my heart so much JOY and I'm grateful for your life.
