Happy 9 years and 4 months sweet Aspen!
I can't believe how big you are getting. You seem to be growing in height and in sarcasm and humor. You are sassy and so much like your Dee Dee in so many ways! I think it's the cutest.
You are competitive, you love long daylight hours. You told your Mama while learning about Antartica that you could DO SO MUCH during the 6 months of daylight. I love that. That's my motto on trips where it's light for long! 😆 You love a good challenge. You love everything hunting and fishing and blow dart gun! You want to be a You-Tube person when you get older. You and Pops are already talking about doing a channel with your blow-darts! 🤣 You love all things that move and are very into cicada's and the shell they leave behind. You eat a lot yet weight is still an issue for you. It seems like every time I see you you have a banana in your hand. LOL We even looked up how many bananas is too many in a day. 🤪 You love fruit but said your favorites are watermelon and grapes. Watermelon is my favorite by far although I love all fruit too. You are smart - and use it when you want to. Some days you finish school in great timing and some days you take forever. Your Mama has cracked down and you're beginning to realize you just need to DO IT! Your Mama got new curriculum for you and B for next year and it's so fun to watch her get so excited. I'm coming down one day to listen to history. I'm so excited for y'all!

A lot of the garden was ruined with the terrible storm we had. You love checking to see if it's time to harvest something though!

We made a fruit cake with berries and the blueberries on top! We tried our best to make a star! A for effort and it was delicious! I love that y'all want to help!

We could see it raining ahead and realized that was Rabun Bald. That's where you first hiked (other than Colorado) to earn your "hiker" status and a backpack. Such sweet memories!

Summer heat is wearing us all thin 🤪 but summer nights are my favorite! Pops planted wildflowers for me and you love to chase the golf cart. I love nights like this!

This has been a low key month but low key is AMAZING these days. SO much to be thankful for. We have been healthy (although Nelly and the boys had a cold or covid... it's so hard to know these days). But you have been healthy. And living your best life on our property! We've hiked and played outside and played games and just had sweet memories! Y'all didn't take a summer break but your Mom has a super exciting calendar for this upcoming year. I can't wait to take a field trip or so with y'all! I LOVE the freedom y'all have to do whatever you want. I give the Lord ALL the praise that your Mom can homeschool y'all. What a blessing!
You are going to clinic in August. I sure am praying you've put on enough weight for Dr S to be happy with your progress. It seems like you are doing well. I pray so.
You seem to be doing well on Trikafta. You'll have bloodwork when you go back. We continue to pray for a CURE for CF and for Trikafta to "hold" things at bay. We are so grateful for the progress being made.
