Happy 9 years and one month.
You've turned into a mini-teenager. You are SURE you can do anything the adults can do. You are starting to get that "pre-teen" look. You have a bit of a smartie attitude 😅 too! You really can do most things. You can whip Pops and your Daddy at Nintendo games. You can shoot your bow and gun and blow dart like a PRO too. You're at that age where you are figuring things out - like taking ALL day to do one math lesson. 🤪 Your Mama is VERY patient with you and you ADORE her. You are learning and growing and learning your limits. Your Dee Dee prays every night for you. For the man you will become. For the friends you will have. For your future. For your days. You have my heart and I couldn't love you more!
We started out the month celebrating your birthday! Your Mama made you confetti waffles for your birthday breakfast! YUM!
We went above what we should have done for your birthday. You REALLY wanted a new bow and we wanted to get you one that would last you for years. I sure pray you will enjoy it and take care of it so it will last. We got up the morning of your birthday and went to Ace in Social Circle.

We hiked at Vogel State Park - Bear Hair Gap Trail while your Mama and Daddy were celebrating her 31st birthday! 💛

Getting ready for your Great Strides walk - the first in person since 2019. We've almost hit our goal for 2022. SOOOO thankful for everyone who gives to help us find a cure!
We went to Clayton - The Coleman river to fish and lay in the ENO for your Mom's birthday!
We found a great place for dinner - The Bleu Canoe near Lake Burton!
We stopped at Andy's on the way home! YUM!

The next day we went to hike Standing Indian Mountain near Franklin, NC! It was on the AT! SO fun!
We saw a LOT of bear scat. Some old and some very fresh! It was so exciting looking for a bear all the way. You said this was your favorite hike ever!

We got home Friday afternoon and your darts I bought you for Easter had arrived. It didn't take you long to have your first victim. LOL You said... "It's better to kill him than have him get in the basement!" (We've had a couple). True! SO true! LOL
What a month it has been! You are living your BEST life - exploring our land and all the places we go! I am praying you will start doing a better job with your school. Your Mama works so hard.
I love you sweet Aspen! I am praying for your appointment coming up in June. I am praying for weight gain. I am praying for your lungs to remain healthy. I am praying for Trikafta to do "its thing!"
