7 years and 9 months and getting kinda sassy ! LOL Merry Christmas!

Happy 7 years and 9 months! You are getting close to 8 and you can tell it. You are trying to learn the art of "sarcasm" and when it's "ok" to joke. You roll your eyes quite a bit and are SASSY but you are still SO cute and bring us all JOY!

We had a wonderful month of good health, great weather and a wonderful Christmas. SO much to be grateful for.

You are an outdoor boy through and through. You told Bennett this month that you didn't want to play his new guitar because you were a deer hunting boy. ha! You LOVE to hunt anything. You love all things outdoors. You are creative and love to draw and can make a lot of things from a cardboard box. You love your bike and scooter and the creek. You love fishing and playing Monopoly and corn-hole. You love jerky and wings and fruit. You are stubborn and determined and full of energy. You are logical and HAVE to figure things out for yourself.

We started the month out coming home from a trip. We brought you home a paper airplane book to fold your own planes. You love to make planes!

Your Mom got a new chair and you HAD to help! You are good with things just like your Dad!

You never let a cardboard box go to waste! :)

You love to wrestle and laugh with your Dad!

This is our travel wall. You were telling me the top places you wanted me to take you for your birthday. I think we landed on Iceland and I can't remember the other close (not) place! LOL

We had an Aspen slumber party. We went to Bass Pro to look at fishing poles!

Deciding what kind of fly rod would be best for you!

We got sushi... one of your favorites! And... your request!

You even got a shirt that you LOVED but I haven't seen since we got it! haha!

We made a gingerbread house... We thought it was pre-made! ha!

It didn't last long before it collapsed! HA!

Dee Dee bought you new shark pajamas!

Chippy was here from the North Pole this month. This was one of your favorite things he did!

Most days have been warm enough for SOME outdoor time!

One of my favorite ornaments...

We finally got the pool closed!

You are quite the artist!

I love to look out my window and watch you two playing!

We read some books outside one day!

I love talking to you about Jesus!

Dee Dee bought you a scavenger hunt kit! SO much fun!

You love to win!

You are getting good at corn hole!

Wrapping the blind you got your Dad for hunting!

I bought you a Kiwi kit that you made later in the month!

We love the Wii!

You know how to use the 3 remotes me have to turn on the Wii! ha

Your Mom rented out the movie theatre for B's birthday! Happy 6th! We saw War with Grandpa!

I try to tell you as much about WHY we celebrate Christmas as I can. I love sharing the good news of Jesus birth.

This is the house that I grew up in in Lilburn. I passed it this month and took a picture!

PRAISE!!! The shortest day of the year is passed us!

It didn't look like this in our pasture but we sure tried to see this. The last time the planets aligned was 1200 something!

Sam next door made you this arrow! LOL

We went to the Blue Rooster for Bennett's birthday! Y'all had a chocolate cupcake!

Bennett wanted to fish...

We went to Monroe to see the lights on B's birthday night...

Making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve!

We are still in the middle of the pandemic and so we watched the Christmas Eve service from Bethlehem Church (we started watching them this year vs First Baptist). It was such a blessing! You were SO good.

Your Dad opened his blind!

And you opened a gift in memory of Granny and Papa (like we did with them).

I shot the bottle the first time! I was so excited. ha!

We came up to our house for bed and to put Santa's cookies out!

Time for bed and you three were still wound TIGHT! ha

Santa came and left you a note from Snowflake too!

Your new slippers! LOL

Stocking stuffers...

You loved to hand out presents...

You gave your Mom a wallet...

She loved it!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

You can be pretty stubborn. You weren't a fan of smiling for pics. It made Dee Dee sad, so I explained how I do so much for you that I expect you to SMILE! I'm not sure it sunk in but I tried. LOL

Target practice from your Mom and Dad

I LOVE what you got me for Christmas!

It's been COLD after Christmas, so we haven't gotten to play outside much. In fact, it rained all Christmas Eve and the high on Christmas Day was 34. We even saw a few snowflakes. We are SUPER grateful for His hand of protection over us during the holidays. The pandemic is going strong and is actually worse than it was in March. We are doing our best to avoid it and praying daily for guidance on how to handle it.

You don't go back to clinic until February but you are doing really well. You haven't been sick since the pandemic started. It's been really nice but we have been isolated!

Here's praying for an amazing, happy, healthy, full of adventure 2021. We don't know what tomorrow holds but we know WHO holds the future.

Happy December, Aspen and prayers for a healthy 2021. Your Dee Dee loves you to the moon and back and back again!
