35 months.... 1 more month of being TWO!

Little Mister.... You are SO loved! It's hard to believe that this time next month you will be 3 years old. You are changing EVERY day. The days are getting warmer and it's almost OUR birthday month! :)

February was a good month... We're almost to MARCH and warmer weather and longer days, which also means the end of FLU season. Praise the LORD you have been healthy this winter and even though there have been some colds, strep and runny noses... nothing that affected your lungs and we couldn't be more grateful.

We ended January with a beautiful day/work day. We rented a "bob-cat" and Dada and Pops did some things in the yard. You loved riding around.

You're taking a break with Pops and Bow Valley while Dada moved an old dog house away.

We've kicked off our 2016 fundraiser for a CURE! The Foundation asked Dee Dee #whyIstride and I was SOOO honored to share with them. It's all for you precious Aspen. Dee Dee loves you so much. I would do anything to take away your CF. I would do anything to help you BREATHE with no problem.... and live a full life. Dee Dee and Pops pray for you every day... For a CURE and so does your Mommy and Dada and Nelly and Co-Chri.

We're off to a slow start this year raising funds. I know some people wait to give closer to the walk but most people see you as a "healthy" boy and don't see the struggle that's going on inside... the havoc that is going on with your lungs and digestive system. It is my prayer that people will open their hearts and give for a CURE... just once a year until a CURE is found for you. We are all passionate about doing ALL that we can to find a cure for you.

I was down visiting at your house and you and Bennett went into your room. A few minutes later me and Mommy heard a loud laughter and we walked into your room to find you and Bennett "lounging" and laughing so hard. #preciousness

You let me read you several books!  :)  I asked you to get one from your room and you came back with your ENTIRE toy box. You crack us up!

This is the first time you watched "Finding Nemo". You were amazed for a few minutes anyway. You still prefer The Grinch. LOL

Your face makes me laugh (hurry up, Dee Dee).  We are watching The Grinch. You sat really close to me the whole time and it made this Dee Dee's heart smile!

I LOVE when you sit in my lap and just watch....

This helicopter is a part of your train track. You're supped to blow because it's good for your lungs. I'm so glad you like to! #PRAISE

Dee Dee and Pops had friends over to the house while your Mommy and Dada went on a date night. You love Mrs. Julie. She was blowing on the helicopter with you. So cute!

We played a game with Mrs. Julie, Mr. Rick, Mr. Bill and Mrs. Robin and it required me to look like a mummy. You loved watching but didn't know what to think when I did this....

I'm so happy you love your train track in your toy room.

I LOVE when you let me read you an entire book. We are reading "I think I can"... I used to read that to your Mommy and Nelly.

Snuggles after sleeping are my favorite!

Pops is teaching you how to play pool on his phone. You are really good at it! You even know when to tell Pops that it's his turn! haha

We went to a Superbowl party at the church with the Young Married class. I love your skinny jeans. :)

This is Dee Dee and Pops at the CF Volunteer Awards Night.... Dee Dee won the "Momentum" award for having a lot of momentum in how much our team has grown. We raised around $1,800 the first year, $6,000 the second year and almost $16,000 this past year.

Pops bought Dee Dee a bracelet that says "just breathe". SO sweet!

This was a special night.... Dada couldn't get off work in time but the rest of our family had a great night!

Your Mommy was taking pictures at our table. I was getting my picture made for the Foundation.

This is Dee Dee and Linda Murphy with the Foundation. She keeps me informed on what's going on as far as treatments and developments.

I'm so glad you love playing with BV!

You may not love a lot of food but you love gummies! A calorie is a calorie... and you need all you can get. You love to put them in my hand and count them... one by one. #specialtimes

Happy Valentine's Day! :)

Dee Dee bought you and Bennett a goodie bag. One of your things was a tackle box with candy in it. You thought that was pretty cool.

And a special Micky coloring book...

You are eating one of your favorites.... pesto pasta and singing Jesus Loves Me! Doesn't get any better than this! :)

I love that you are protective of Bennett. You love to grab his hand and walk with him.

Blowing bubbles is your favorite.... Look how big you can blow them!

Your first outside injury of 2016. UGH! You tripped running down the driveway and we are SO thankful that you didn't knock your teeth out. You scraped your nose a good bit and your nose bled and bled. We were afraid you broke your nose. It got swollen really quick. Sweet boy!

I LOVE this picture! You were "terrorizing" Bow Valley with a golf ball and this is one of the times you were trying to get her to jump. You have so much fun with her.

I LOVE that you love to run. I'm grateful you love to run and I'm already praying that you'll be a runner the older you grow. Running is so good for your lungs. I LOVE this action picture of you and your BFF! :)

Candid shots are the best and this is one of my favorite. If I had asked you to come and hug B ... there wouldn't have been a chance you would. LOL This is totally unprompted and I love the LOVE you have for Bennett. You had been running in the yard and came over to check on B! "How you doing B? You OK?" #meltmyheart

Bennett thinks you are hilarious...

One of your favorite things to do... throw the ball with Bow Valley!

That smile... OH how I LOVE to watch you play!

This may or may not be you impersonating me and my screaming to get Bow's attention! LOL #BOOOOOWWWW :)

Dee Dee drew you a smiley face and you were SO proud to make your own! You are PRECIOUS!

Pretty days are calling for a lot of outside time and we couldn't be more excited. You love your hippie van.

When you're done being a hippie... it's time to become a farmer. LOL #drinkbreak

Your Mommy and Daddy took us to Toyko... we watched the fish! :)

Dee Dee and Pops took you and your Mommy to see the circus. You loved it and watched so well. This is the last year for the elephants to be a part of the circus. I'm glad we could go.

That little smirk.... I sure love you!

Mommy bought you the coolest light up toy and you played with it for hours!

"Look Pops! Watch!"

You got cotton candy and a snow cone. We had such a great time!

SO thankful we were able to go! #Blessed

You were fascinated at Mommy putting on makeup and wanted to do it for her! :)

This is your time out spot. I can't remember what you did but I'm sure you told Mommy to "Stop it"... you haven't quite grasped that you can't tell Mommy or anyone else that. LOL  Bennett was feeling sorry for you, so he joined you. :)

I love how you do activities at Mrs. Emma's. You planted seeds in this jar.

Mommy fixed orange chicken and you used chop sticks. You were really good at using them... especially for a first time.

You have such determination... I love watching you try to figure out things...

A new bubble machine.... I love the look of excitement. SO cute!

Bubbles! Bubbles! You love just about every kind or machine. Your Dada got you some new bubbles at the store and you had so much fun!

Dee Dee was out of town for a few days and when I got back... we played in the yard and got ice cream. SO much fun!

Bruster's was really SLOW so you wanted to "check it out!" :)

You're trying to tell them to hurry up! LOL

You may not be the best at sharing toys but you LOVE to share your food. LOL

It makes me laugh how you love to keep your cone clean. :) That mouth is all about some chocolate. LOL

We got home and you really wanted to ride your tractor....

Until you realized that Dada and Pops were going to play corn-hole.

After the bags were thrown, you would rush down to put all the bags in the hole. :)

And... you sat on the board while they threw the bags!

As long as you could beat them down to the boards after they threw.... LOL

You were featured in this CF newsletter about fundraising. Your friend Raegan made nut-crackers to sell and raised $425. What an awesome idea and the Foundation was acknowledging that.

Our goal is $17,000 for our annual fundraiser! If everyone we considered a friend would only give $25... we would be there in no time. #praying #worthit #foraCURE #Believe

We designed this for our annual t-shirts and we are so excited to see them from the printers.

We are selling them for $25 for our walk. You don't have to walk to buy one... so we are praying a lot of people will buy one. 100% of the money raised goes towards your team.

Mommy and Dee Dee made this board for Dada to take to work. He  has raised a lot of money for a CURE already. We want to raise awareness so that we can help find a CURE!

I love your smile. I love your determination and how you try to figure everything out for yourself. I love your sense of humor and how you make us all laugh! When you "miss" something you often say "Dad-gumit".... I'm sure you can guess where you picked that up from. :)  I love your facial expressions and how you move your eyes to be funny. You are a ham-bone.

You ran all the way up to Dee Dee's house all by yourself (your Mommy was driving up but she allowed you to run up the hill to see what you would do). You ran into the house, passed me and said..."Oh hey, Dee Dee!" You got some shark bites and went back outside. LOL I have a feeling that might be happening more and more. :)

Pops was "bugging you" the other night and you said..."Stop that! Talk to Dee Dee!" hahaha! Talk to me!!! That made me laugh.

I was trying to get Bennett to come and get his diaper changed and you said..."COME ON, B!!!! Dee Dee is calling you! GO get your diaper changed NOW!"  I love how you are becoming more and more the "little helper!"

Your vocabulary grows every day. You have the cutest smile and are actually getting better at smiling for the camera. You sang "Jesus Loves Me" and said your "ABC's" to the camera this month. You're counting into your 20's (even though you miss a few), reading books more, counting in general more and you ask SO many questions. "What's this?" :)

You love to wake B up and get upset if you can't. You MUST take the top off things (even if that means Mommy loosens it up for you first.....shhhhh! LOL). You are stubborn and your Mommy and Dada are trying to break you of that. You sometimes refuse to give a "squeeze" bye... even at night time with Dada, but as soon as the person is gone... you're really upset and can't stop saying...."squeeze Dada!" "Squeeze Dee Dee".... or whoever it may be. Your Mommy is determined to break you of that. :)

You love airplanes and helicopters and dolphins and sharks. You love your trains and any kind of ball. You love running and chasing Bow and driving your cars. You like to push B in the stroller or a car and to feed him food. LOL You love chips and cheese dip, pesto pasta, spaghetti and gummies. You still love your Carnation "milkshakes" (a couple a day) to boost your calorie intake.

You seem to be eating better than you were and our scales show you have gained some weight. You are going to clinic on Tuesday, March 1st....tomorrow. It's been longer than normal because your last appointment was canceled because of the weather.

Please be in prayer for Aspen:

* To have an acceptable height to weight ratio
* His lungs to be clear
* For Aspen NOT to culture anything in his throat swab
* For Aspen's liver numbers to be in the acceptable range and to check out ok
* His blood-work results
* For advancements in treatments and a CURE!

Lord...  Aspen is yours! You love him more than we do and that's hard to comprehend. You have a plan for Aspen's life. May his life and our lives bring you glory. Lord, protect his lungs. We pray for the CURE that we know is coming. We believe and ask you for this miracle. Lord, I pray that Aspen will never have to suffer and struggle just to breathe. I pray that you will give him a spirit of determination and that he will run for his health and run towards you ALWAYS. I pray that you will place your hand on him, as you have these past years, and be with him always. Help him to come to know you at an early age and always depend on you. Lord, we lift up our "friends" with CF and pray you work in all of their situations. Bring peace and healing and miracles. We lift up Emma, Kenedy, Caleigh, Amanda Sue and Whitney's mother, Vanessa. In your name we pray these things....

Aspen, your Dee Dee loves you to the moon and back and back again! Always and forever. I pray you will always know that.

I can NOT wait to see what March has to hold. Prayers for a healthy month!

Here's to a WONDERFUL birthday month for both of us! :)
