27 months… The most changes in a one month period…or so it seems! :)

June has been a great month! Your health has been good and you are eating better. Praise!!!

Your favorite snack (other than ANY kind of fruit) are "Bob Bob gummies" - better known as "Sponge Bob gummies. :) You will eat as many banana's a day as someone will let you. It's so ironic how fruit is your favorite food (you LOVE all fruit… well, at least watermelon, grapes, strawberries, apples and oranges). That's great if fruit only had more calories. ha! It's awesome that you love healthy food though.

You still love Chipotle and Chick-fil-A.

This is me and you on a Chick-fil-A date. :)

One of the things that I say to you when you "do your eyes" like I am is… "Are you kidding me?" I'm not even sure where I got that from but you always laugh and laugh so, of course, I keep doing it. :) THIS month you are actually saying…"Are you kidding me, Dee Dee?" back to me. Hilarious. Last month you weren't saying any part of that or attempting and then you blurt it out. LOL

They recognize you at Chick-Fil-A now and know they better wait until you eat to ask if you can have a balloon. LOL! They were sweet enough to bring you a balloon, a CFA cow and we got you a cookie. You were excited as you can tell. You're MUCH too big (LOL) to sit in a high chair anywhere these days. You prefer a normal bench or chair. OK, Little Mister. If that makes you happy. :)

Your DaDa had to go to Texas to help with the floods they had recently. He was gone for TWO weeks. You missed him a lot. This is your DaDa playing with you in your pool at your house before he left.

You are being so silly here. Your facial expression cracks me up. You had just told Dee Dee that my bracelet was "beautiful and nice." I cracked up and you thought that was funny!

Pops was working on his computer. Nothing like eating a banana and watching him. He usually lets you watch a video while you are sitting with him. :)

Your Mommy started working with you a little bit on potty training. You know what goes in the potty (and what doesn't also…. like WHOLE rolls of toilet paper). You're not quite interested yet…. but you're getting there.

You got this cool John Deere lawnmower for your birthday in March but you've just gotten the hang of operating it. Pops always said if he has a grandson, that he was going to buy him one and look at you! :)

Dee Dee bought you this bug catcher while we were at Vogel State Park for Pop's birthday last month. I was going to hold on to it until your third birthday. I wasn't sure if you would understand the concept of grabbing bugs and putting them in. :) You did!!! So we went ahead and gave it to you. You had so much fun running around the yard with Pops catching lightening bugs. I think you caught 5.

You let the bugs crawl around on your hand. You are so brave.

We went to music on the square with the Young Married at church. This was a friend that you made. You were introducing Renlee to your Mommy. :)

You are getting so much better about doing your vest without pitching a fit. We're all so grateful. You were really good with Dee Dee and your Mommy says that you hardly ever pitch a fit when doing it. Such a blessing because you have to do this at least twice a day to keep your lungs as healthy as possible.

This cute smile makes Dee Dee happy! It's blurry because we were shaking up and down. ha!

You were SO good at Dee Dee's, I told you we were going to get a prize. That made you happy. :) You will say, "Oh BOY" or "It's Christmas!" So funny!

You went with your Mommy and Daddy to the water fountains and the Mall of GA. They thought you would love it… but not so much. You loved the outside but you wouldn't go "in" and get all wet. I bet it won't be long though.

You and Bennett checking out kayak's at Dick's at the mall.

You are a sweet big brother… most of the time! :) This is you trying to explain to B where his eye is. I'm sure he knows by now. hahaha!
We celebrated Father's Day with Pops a week early. Your Daddy was in TX and got home the same day that we left for Florida. Co Chri is teaching you how to swim. He did such a great job and so did you! Look at you swimming to your Mommy! You caught on really fast!

Riding on Co Chri's back! Cute!

Happy Father's Day, Pops!

Dee Dee bought you these water balls for the pool. You had so much fun. Of course you threw them in every direction but you had a great time. Bow was watching you and we were hoping you wouldn't fall in.

You have so much fun playing outside. I love that your slide is right behind the pool.

We thought we would attempt a selfie by the pool. It kind of worked. B didn't get the memo to look up. ha!

Happy Father's Day to Pops!

We went for yogurt after we swam a while. Look at your pants! You spilt your cup in your carseat. You kept saying…"It's soaked! It's soaked." Yep… you're right sweet boy, they ARE soaked. :)

You love to have fun and you're actually asking to take silly pictures now and then you have to "WATCH! WATCH"… you sometimes think all pictures are videos.

I was at your house and asked you if you wanted to go to Dee Dee's and go swimming. You and Mommy and Bennett went upstairs to get ready and I hear "bump! bump! bump!" on the stairs. This is what I found. You had packed your suitcase and brought it down all by yourself. You were going to Dee Dee's! :)

Your laughing and making funny faces makes Dee Dee and everyone else laugh! You love it!

You're gradated from a "kids plate" at Chipotle to a burrito bowl. It's your favorite. In fact, you think you'll just share with Pops! hahaha!
I love how you look at Dee Dee and try to figure things out. It's like you were saying… "Hmmm…. let me give that a try!"

Bennett hasn't gotten the hang of silly faces yet but I know they are coming! You are so much fun!

You wanted to take a picture but you also wanted your trains to be in the picture. OK! We can do that!

We went to Chipotle with Mommy, Pops and Nelly and Co Chri and the bottom fell out of the sky. We were waiting it out in the car.

Dee Dee bought you "Curious George 3" and hoped that maybe… just maybe you would sit down and watch it. This is Dee Dee's shocked face. This is the first time you've sat in my lap through an entire small movie or TV show, much less for an hour and a half. You LOVE George and "the helicopter, the plane and the rocket." You were so excited and animated watching it with your Mommy and B.

Movie night! :) We had spaghetti and you had ice cream for dessert. I think you were excited. LOL

You loved Curious George so much that we decided to watch it with Pops and DaDa.
You fell today at home. :( You were climbing on a chair and fell into the dresser. You have a pretty big cut by your eye but we're just grateful that it didn't hit on your eye. This was your first ER visit for an injury.

We went on a picnic at Lake Varner. The temperature was "only" 85… it's been close to 100 and the humidity was low. YAY for a day at the park. Co Chri came with us too. Nelly was in Louisiana.

This is as close as I wanted to get to the water today. :)

Your eye! :) I wanted you to show Dee Dee how it's gotten more purple and swollen. They said that would happen.

Your DaDa got an early birthday present… a kayak. Your Mommy and DaDa love the lake.

The first time out in DaDa's new kayak. You didn't want to go for a ride at first but you eventually did.

You were saying, "CHEESE!"

Your eyes are so beautiful! I love this picture!

You REPEAT everything. We were riding to Athens and I was listening to the song, "Make me Whole" by Amel Larrieux and you started sining along with me. You would say, "Whole" and drag the word out… "Eye" and drag it out. I only wish I could have recorded you.

You have done so many precious things this month. You woke up one morning in the middle of the night screaming, "orange balllllllllll"!!! Your Mommy went to check on you in your room and gave it to you and you went back to sleep. :) You love balls so much. It doesn't matter the size or what it does. You love balls.

You like things done a certain way and that makes us laugh. You are just like your Daddy in that area. You love to wash your hands. You have to have something to drink when you need it and the latest thing… you think you need POWDER when Mommy is changing your diaper. hahaha!

At the beginning of the month I was writing down all the cute things that you said…. For example, I was taking the dishes out of the dishwasher and B was sleeping. You put your finger up to your mouth and said, "Dee Dee! Shhhhh! Please" Too funny! You said…"Jesus loves me." You said I was "your Dee Dee." As I look towards the end of the month… you are repeating and saying things all day long that would have surprised me a couple of weeks ago. We're communicating! :) It's so much fun. The majority of the time we know what you are saying. How quickly you are growing and learning and testing the waters! :)

You have so much life and fun in you that it makes this Dee Dee's heart melt. I love to watch you taking in what we are telling you and learning. You know your colors and can't count. You know a lot of the animals and what they "say." You love to watch "Bob the Train" on Mommy's phone. This month has been a month of HUGE growth in you and I'm thankful.

Speaking of growth… This may be too "heavy" for a blog when you are two. It's my desire that you will read these yourself when you are older. I want you to know know that I'm praying for your GROWTH… both physically and spiritually. I'm praying for your world-view and your attitude… for an attitude of gratitude in spite of the challenges you face.

I'm sure my parents and grandparents said the same thing many years ago. This world is a "crazy" place. Just this week the Supreme Court ruled in favor of homosexual marriage (I know by the time you read this yourself… you'll understand). When I think of your "growth" this month… I can't help but think about how things will be when you are older and have "grown."  I pray you will keep your eyes on our Heavenly Father and stand firm and strong in your belief for Him and His word. I pray the Lord will bless you and keep your feet firm in HIM… just like this tree is firmly rooted.

I couldn't love you more! I'm thankful for the brave boy that you are. I'm thankful for your love for fun and exploring. I'm thankful for your energy because all that jumping around and bouncing is also good for your lungs.

I'm proud of you little Mister. I'm grateful for how well you have done this month.

Your Dee Dee loves you and is praying for you with Pops.

You go back to the doctor for your annual visit (we had to reschedule in May) on July 14th.

Please join us in prayer as Aspen has blood-work, x-rays, throat swabs, a probably CT scan, weight/height check and oxygen levels checked. He will also have his liver checked.

If you will be joining us in prayer for this appointment… would you "like" this post?

Thank you for your love and encouragement.

Aspen… Your Dee Dee loves you to the moon and back and back again.
