11 years and 4 months and the end of summer! Goodbye July - HELLO August! 💛

Happy 11 years and 1/3rd of a year Aspen! ❤️ 

The last month of your 5th grade summer! Time has flown and you are changing SO quickly. It's been an exciting month full of FUN, memories and firsts. You've had a healthy month. It's been SOOO hot but we're about to welcome August! 

You started the month going to church camp for the first time. You went with Church of the Grove to camp in Alabama! The 5th grade boys were all in one room. I love that you had so much fun! 🤩 

The adults that go on the trip take pictures and post them to a group text your Mom is on! How cool is that?? She could see what you were doing during the weekend! ❤️ 

You had a great time but you were excited to see your Mom and Dad! 

You had some snuggle time with your Mama when you got home! ♥️ 

You started school back this month. Sometimes you come up to do a math review with me. I enjoy when you do! You have really been rocking mental math! So proud of you! 

I love the flowers that Pops planted for me in the pasture! Sometimes you go with us to pick them! 

We haven't been outside too much this month but it's fun when we do! 

We've played a lot of games of Five Crowns! 

We celebrated the 4th of July with a few fireworks at home! USA 🇺🇸 

Every now and then you love the toy from your Kinder egg... 

Summer basketball was SO much fun! We loved watching you play! 🏀 

I'm always impressed with how many pills you can swallow at one time! You are a PRO! 

You spent the night... I love when you do! 

You wanted a Smoothie King! You love that place! 

You were the Five Crowns Grand Hu Ha! 😆 

You have a silly side and I love it! 🤣 

Thomason and Truett were supposed to come over for Dee Dee camp but they had COVID. We still did a few things. Going to the arcade games was one of the things... 

We love the games! 

I beat you on a game and got excited! 😂 

You traded some points in for this jump rope! ♥️ 

We came home after a storm and saw these huge branches down! 😔 

We went to Highlands, NC for the day! Your Mom had to work! 

Y'all are so silly but handled the ride well!

Y'all had a blast at Sliding Rock... 

The high was only 75 degrees and it was cold when you were out of the water! 💦 

We left sliding rock to go fly fishing! It was such a beautiful river...

Summer basketball 🏀 has been so good for you and we have LOVED watching. You had the best coaches! 

1st place for the season! 🏅 

The church had a night at the splash pad! 

You got to play some pickleball too! 

You learned to shuffle cards! Yay! 😀 

We went outside and looked for frogs late one night! This is Lenny! 🤣 

We took a picture to send to my friend, Terri, who is undergoing treatments at a hospital. We sent it to cheer her up but I loved the picture! ❤️ 

We went to the pet store and you got something to put Lenny in! 🐸 

Proof I braved the rain just to be with you! 💛 It rained pretty hard and we weren't out long but you got a LOT of tree frogs! 

Y'all didn't win the championship game but we sure had fun watching! You had a great season and still got a championship ring!

Church had end of the year games! You got to help since you moved up to 6th grade!

I can't believe summer is over! You've started school back and it's almost August! You've spent some time outside but not nearly as much time as usual. We can *ALMOST* see cooler temps! Soon! We hope! 

You are sweet and give me a big hug when you see me. I love that! You've moved up to 6th grade and I can't believe it. That means you are in the student ministry at church now. WHOA! You'll start going to church on Wednesday nights. 😳 And you will come in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. 

You love snuggles with your Mama. ❤️ You LOVE fishing and all things outdoors. You are getting better and better at basketball. 🏀 You get mad too easy when you don't do as well as you think you should. You're working on that! 🙏 ❤️ 

You have clinic coming up in August. It's a research appointment. We sure are praying for all the things! 

I can't wait to watch you grow in the student ministry. 6th grade will be a BIG change but always know you are being prayed for. I'm praying for the friendships you make and the choices you make. I'm praying that you will grow in the Lord and seek Him in all that you do. I am praying you will have good leaders. I'm even praying for your future wife and so much more. 

You are loved to the moon and back and back again! I'm proud of you and so thankful for how well you are doing.
