Sweet Aspen!!! I can't believe you are going to start school next week! I'm in denial until it happens! :( This makes me have a flashback to when your Mommy started school. Such a bittersweet day! I'm excited that you are excited. I am excited that you are doing so well. I am nervous for you to start school though. I'm praying that you will adjust well. I'm praying that you will have the best teacher! I'm praying that you will make the best friends! I'm praying that you won't give in to peer pressure now or 10 years from now. I'm praying that you will keep your sweet spirit in a school full of kids that may not be. I have so many prayers and hopes and dreams for you. Most of all, I want you to be happy, healthy and find the Lord young in your life. Starting school is a BIG deal! I'll miss you being able to do what you want to do during the week. Moving on... so Dee Dee can focus on the AMAZING month that you had! SO. MANY. ADVENTURES!
I used to want to cover up our swimming pool! I'm so grateful we decided to keep it open! :) You are a little fish! You swim SO well. You can swim from one side of the pool to the other UNDER water. You dive, you flip! You are such a good swimmer!
This is the first Fourth of July that we've stayed home and played and I have to say... I'm a fan! :)
Swimming wears you out but it's SO good for your lungs...

Dee Dee and Pops left for Maine and New Hampshire! You all came home and went to the GA aquarium while we were gone! SO much fun!

I'm so proud of you and how big you are when you go to the CF clinic! You wanted to help put on your blood pressure cuff! You got your O2 up to 100%! GO, Aspen!
You weighed 39 pounds and 14 ounces! You can't quite hit the 40 pound mark. You've basically been the same weight for over a year but you're getting much taller. You have grown another inch since April. Dr S. started you on Prilosec to help reduce the acid in your stomach. She's hoping that will help you keep some weight on. You have to go back on September 7th for a CT scan at CHOA to make sure nothing new is going on in your lungs! You are also going to consult with Dr. Freeman about your stomach issues. Your stools have been basically orange oil... so your Mommy has known something was up! Dee Dee was in NH on your appointment date, so I wasn't able to go!
I was so excited to see you all though! I brought y'all home some lobster gummies and chocolate and some shirts! :)
I love how you love clothes! I bought you this shirt from Gap! You always want to change into your new shirt right then...
We went to lunch at Panda Express!
Mommy took y'all to the library for the first time. You were quite a fan! You picked out two books to take home...
Dee Dee brought y'all some books back from Maine!

You have been healthy this month! You have experienced many "firsts!" You were able to do some really fun things. It's been a good, good month! Thank you, Father!!! Not a day goes by that I don't thank the Lord for His hand on your life!

I love that you love to play with Dee Dee! I'm grateful that we share a special bond! I am so grateful that you live next door to Dee Dee and Pops! You are so excited to start school. I pray that you will continue to love school.
Happy 5 years and 4 months, sweet Aspen! Dee Dee is thankful I get to watch you grow up and I'm thankful that I will get to pick you up from school and hear about your day!
