4 years and 7 months... you are a lot like your Dee Dee! :)

You are growing so quickly these days! School has been such a good thing for you but you are growing by leaps and bounds. Mommy says you come home most days not really talking about what you did at school that day and then randomly breaking out into song or quoting a Bible verse. :)

We got back from our vacation to Florida on the last day of September. We had such a good time. You rode home with us and it was so fun to have you. It was a 6 hour ride in, and at times in torrential rain... but you did SO well! We played all sorts of games and even played the "Quiet game" when we got close to home. haha! You pretty much talk non-stop and I think that's hilarious! You have so many of your Dee Dee's "traits!" We were so glad to get home and get some fresh air. Dee Dee bought you a "brain quiz" game... you really liked to play it.

You and Bennett LOVE to climb on the dogwood tree we have.

The first day of October was Dada's 31st birthday. We were out of town but you all went to Sugarloaf Mills and had so much fun!

You love sushi just as much as your Mommy and Dada!

You were SUPER excited to play with a rocket that Dada got...

Dee Dee checked you out of school for the first time. You were so excited to see me and that made this Dee Dee's heart so happy!

We got a drink and snack at RaceTrac...

You love me picking you up in Daisy...

You went with me to get my nails done at Mrs. Melissa's and you thought that faucet was SO funny! You said it looked like a faucet for a dog. haha! You come up with the funniest things. You were SO good for me.

We went by Publix and you wanted some PEPPERS for a snack. You love to try new things and you like so many foods.

One of your favorite things to do is play hide and go seek or chase. I love to watch Pops chasing you...

Dada has to get up at 3am for work. Mommy said that one morning he was frantic because he couldn't find his work boots and they discovered them in your toy box. You thought if you hid his boots that he wouldn't have to go to work. SO cute! Dada only wishes it worked that way. ha!

You were an "ambassador" for the Wish for Wendy" campaign again this year. I love to see your sweet face on these signs and I love that they think of you each year. I know your team fell in love with your story and the video that me and you made for them.

Nelly's friends threw her and Thomason a shower. We drove down to Fort Valley to celebrate...

You loved playing with Liza Kate...

I love how independent you are! You want to do everything yourself. You are so big! I know that's going to "serve you" well one day.

What a sweet shower! You are already so protective and loving towards Thomason. You love, LOVE to feel him kick. We can't wait to see your face when you meet him!

You were worn out when we got home from the shower. You fell asleep on Nelly while you were playing a game.

The phlebotomist was gone for the day when you had your last CF clinic visit, so you had to go back to have your annual blood work! You also had to leave a stool sample. Your blood work came back A-MAZING! We were so grateful. Your stool sample came back abnormal. That just means your doctor had to increase your enzymes taken with food. You are so brave!

Dee Dee met you and Mommy and Nelly in Monroe when you were done. We went to Scoops for ice cream.

and to the Story Shop!

and to Sailor Studio! Y'all are so good... most of the time! :)

You've really loved your bike a LOT this month! You ride it as much as you can! I love how you're looking at B, who wouldn't get up after having his diaper changed. haha!

You're a ham-bone! One way to insure I get you in a picture is to try and take a picture of someone else. You're a professional photo-bomber! :)

This is the first month you've tried to ride your bike without the training wheels. You really want to learn. I don't think it will be too long.

We went camping at Tallulah Falls... You love to go early with us and we love for you to. You know how much I LOVE you when I give you my cup of ice water to put a spider in it. haha!

We went down to the visitor's center to get a prize before Mommy and Dada and Bennett got there.

We read the difference between poisonous snakes and non-poisonous. You really seemed interested!

We went to look down in the gorge. You were SO "not happy" that Dee Dee wouldn't take you to the bottom. I thought we needed to wait for Mommy and Dada!

I love to hang around and just talk with you and so does Pops!

We bought this game at the visitor's center and had so much fun playing!

Snuggling with you in my ENO is one of my favorite things to do while we're camping!

We had to make a Walmart run and you couldn't help but put this on your head! :)

You love all kinds of bugs...

We went down into the gorge on Saturday...

One of Dee Dee's favorite "sights!" You LOVE to run. Even up stairs. I can already tell you're going to be a hiker! :)

You like our food better when we're camping! haha! You shared lunch and dinner with us! :)

You love to play games but didn't quite understand Spades! :)

We went on a walk when Mrs. Michele came for a visit and we found the coolest looking caterpillar.

Dada and pops were fishing IN the lake and you and B were not happy to be leaving! You love the hang with Pops and Dada and you love to fish!

You picked Mrs. Michele some wild flowers...

You asked to have your picture made with BV! :)

Laughing with you makes my heart happy! :)

Your teacher sent this picture to Mommy! I love to watch you play with your friends.

Dee Dee picked you up from school one day. I love how excited you get. You said..."It's MY Dee Dee!" *heart melted

Dee Dee dates in my bedroom are so much fun. You love puzzles and to play with your I-PAD and to snuggle!

We went to see Steven's ballgame! You think he is the coolest thing ever! He's so good with you and I love to watch y'all play! Steven sent you a baseball picture and you held it for days and days...wherever you went.

You loved playing with Summer too. She took y'all to the concession stand.

I can't wait to see you with Thomason. You LOVE Rosemary...

"Hey, Pops!!! I see your engine!" hahahaha

Still carrying your picture from Steven! :)

We went to Burt's Pumpkin patch. You approve! LOL

We went to the Varsity for lunch! You were a fan of that too. haha

You love for anyone to give you a quarter for the bubble gum machine! It makes your day! :)

Burt's was SUPER crowded but we managed to get a cute picture! :)  You wanted to stop by the sunflower fields so you could pick me FIVE sunflowers cause I love them so much while we played hide and go seek. ha! I love that you know what I love. You know what Mommy loves. You're going to make an awesome husband one day.

You had to have your first anti-biotic in a while. You had a cough for a few days. Now everyone is sick. B, Mommy and Dada all had to go to the doctor and have strep or an ear infection. :( We can't be around y'all because Nelly is in the hospital waiting to have Thomason. This is the movie y'all watched. The emoji movie! ha! You have 3 weeks of anti-biotics to take and we pray you'll be all better.

I love to hear you coming home from school talking about God and what He made and how much He loves us! You learned "This is the Day" and sing it for everyone and you also memorized a verse in 2 Chronicles. We've been working on John 3:16. You are so smart and your teachers love you!

You've started talking about how much it "hurts your heart" if Bennett (or anyone else) is mean to you. SO cute! You also say... "I love you so much in my heart!"

You say the funniest things. I need to write down more next month. One day you said you were a "psycho!" What? hahaha!

You're favorite thing by far is FROGS! You love everything FROG! Candy. Toys. Games! LOL

You told me you were going to get me 4 Daisies so I can take you to school in a different one every day. haha!

You are so funny, yet so serious sometimes. You analyze things like your Dee Dee! You are determined and stubborn. You have so many of my traits that people say you are a "mini-Dee-Dee!" and I love that. I pray you'll pick up my best traits and fight hard against your CF! You are a FIGHTER and I'm so grateful for your determined spirit.

It's hard to put into words how grateful we all are that you are doing so well. You've been able to go to school and to go to church on Wednesday nights and even play on a few playgrounds. So much has changed this year and you've done remarkable with it all.

We here there is a drug in trial that could possibly be out when you turn 6. We pray every night for a CURE. We pray for effective therapies. We pray for you to be motivated and determined to never give up.

Your Dee Dee loves you to the moon and back again.

If you are reading this... We would SO appreciate your prayers:

* Aspen goes back to the CF clinic on November 14th - for clear lungs
* Praying everyone will get well and that Aspen's cough will go away and that nothing will damage his lungs
* Praying for our entire family to be healthy as we wait for the arrival of sweet Thomason
* Praying for Aspen to continue to have a fighting spirit and that he will always enjoy exercise... that is SO good for his lungs!
* Please join us in prayer for a HEALTHY "flu-free" winter!

Some days can be hard. When you're sick and you have to do 2 or more hours of treatments a day... it is tiring! You have things "stacked" against you, sweet Aspen... but NEVER GIVE UP! God sees and He knows. You were born this life for a reason! Trust in HIM! He will get you through whatever comes your way.

I'm so grateful I get to watch you grow and learn and change. I couldn't love you more!
