May! What a busy month! What an awesome month! And, historically one that you get sick during! You and Bennett both were sick this month. Your Mommy called the clinic and they started you on Bactrim. You still had a cough after a week... so they increased your vest to 4 times a day and albuterol every 4 hours. Praise the Lord, your cough is pretty much gone. May has been a really busy and fun month and we're so grateful that you are feeling better. Actually.... even when you have a cough and cold... that doesn't slow you down too much. You still are running and jumping constantly and we've learned what a blessing that is! :)
Our Run for God - Run for Aspen class at church... ran/walked in Grayson days. These women are a special group of ladies that have prayed for you and came out to support you on April 30th.
We prayed for the race and for YOU before it began.

You came up to spend the afternoon with Dee Dee and Pops and we went "four wheeling" in the pasture! :) You and I loved to look out the sunroof! SO much fun!

We won a TENT at the Great Strides walk because we raised more than $10,000! This picture was used in their e-mail.
SO SO grateful for all of these family and friends that came out to walk with us for your walk! Together we raised approximately $17,000 for a CURE. Our biggest year yet. In 4 years... we have raised right at $40,000 for a CURE for you sweet boy! We work as hard as we can because we #Believe ! I can't wait to see what therapies and treatments come as a result of our hard work. Thank you to EVERYONE that has helped us. #CureCF

a record breaking year... Over 2 million for ATL and a record for our team! Thank you, Lord for caring people that help #addmoretomorrows for you and all with CF!
This young man has Cystic Fibrosis and was the first person with CF to ever summit Mount Everest. I find this SUPER exciting. He is taking one of the effective drugs for CF and it's made a huge difference in his life. I'm praying for the day a CURE is found or an effective treatment for your mutations. It's coming sweet boy! Until then... I'm praying that CF doesn't stop you from fulfilling any of your dreams!
After the walk, we celebrated Pops birthday at Superica! Yummy!
Your Mommy and DaDa left the morning after the walk for their 4th anniversary trip. You stayed with Dee Dee and Pops on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Sunday we went to the zoo!
You said the snakes looked "gross, Dee Dee!" I agree, Aspen! :)
Pops was showing you how the panda's have their eyes covered up. LOL
Dee Dee surprised you with some trucks from the gift shop and you loved them!
You loved the animals but you loved the train ride the best! :)
The weather has been awesome. We played outside a lot while Mommy and DaDa were gone. You asked Pops to hold your hand! You are so sweet!
I was holding Bennett and you just about plowed us down. This is you feeling bad about that. LOL It was scary for sure but you didn't mean to. I love the hugs I got! :)

Dee Dee took you to Carter's and this little boy was pitching a fit and acting SO disrespectful. It was a great time to talk to you about how NOT to act. You were taking it all in. You were so good and I'm so proud of you.

We watched Finding Nemo. You love that movie! Dee Dee bought you a blow up fish for the pool!

It may not be officially summer but it's getting HOT! We went camping at Victoria Bryant State Park for Memorial Day weekend and had a blast!
We saw some friends from church and they let you hold their dog, Cocoa!

And Aunt Nelly brought you Finding Nemo fish and you played with them all weekend!
We went to the Commerce Outlets and you were SO good that you got to ride some rides!
We went back to the camp and you made smores with your Mommy!

Camping was so much fun! You are getting used to sleeping in Delilah and you seem to really love camping. I know Dee Dee and Pops are SO happy your Mommy and Daddy bought Delilah. We've had so much fun camping with y'all.
I love you sweet boy! You are a HOOT! You make the cutest faces and expressions. You have the cutest personality. You have a stubborn streak but it's getting better. :) You are a little mischievous but you usually "tell" on yourself. You drew all over your walls during nap time one day for an example. LOL
You repeat so much of what "we" say and you say the funniest things. You talk in the 3rd person sometimes and that cracks us up! If you don't understand something, you say... "B Why?"!!! hahahaha You told your Mommy... "Listen to me! Listen to Aspen! I'm going to eat at the blue table! Not that table!" (referring to the kitchen table). You're quite opinionated these days too but you couldn't be any cuter. It's fun having "conversations" with you and hearing you "reason" things out.
This has been an awesome month. We've raised awareness for CF at two walks. We raised almost $17,000 for research. You've camped twice. You spent a few days with Dee Dee and Pops and one night with Aunt Nelly and Co Chri. What a fun and blessed month it has been. We're SO grateful.
Together.... we have raised right at $40,000 for a CURE! We can't do the actual research but we can raise awareness and do ALL we can to help the researchers find a CURE and treatments for you. We #Believe !!!!
I love you, Aspen.... to the moon and back and back again!
Aspen goes for his annual CF appointment in June! Please be in prayer this month for:
* Aspen's weight to stay around the 50th percentile
* His chest x-ray to be clear and for his liver to check out OK! We're also praying that he won't "culture" anything.
* For Aspen to stay as healthy as possible
